It's just a simple sign, right?
We hear this a lot — and we get it.
From the outside, a sign might look straightforward. A name, a logo, some colours. Job done? Unfortunately it's not that simple, let's face it, if it was then everybody would be making and selling them!
Behind the scenes, turning even a basic design into a high-quality, durable sign or product involves a long list of decisions and processes. Whilst your design file may look great on the screen, it may not transfer into a useable product nor may it be printable on our machinery in its current format.
This is where our expertise comes in.
On almost all jobs, we have to adapt the artwork for production. These include technical adjustments which require specialist equipment and skilled labour. We may need to tweak it so it works with our software. What about the colour - can we find an exact match and ensure it matches any branding or even planning guidelines? What about the siting of the sign - will be out on the Northumberland coast in the howling wind? Will it be exposed to sunlight regularly (yes, we do get sun sometimes in Northumberland!). Does it need fixings, holes for mounting, adhesive, overlaminating. Which machine or a combination of machines will work best - CNC, UV printer, sublimation, vinyl or laser.
Another thing to consider if if we can make the sign efficiently and can we easily replicate it, should the customer need another one?
